This one’s for Stew

Stewart’s continued erroneous assertion that the American Civil War is the best civil war cannot be allowed to stand.

Consider this to be me and my homies in an abandoned parking lot under a freeway - hollering back.

Ohh the ECW is the best CW

Though some might disagree

See our king had a thing for kissing his ring

And shooting his MP’s.

Then there’s new modelled Tom and old Ollie Crom

A dictator wannabe

Yes the ECW is the best CW

As sure as sure can be.

((Drops da mike))

Lol.

  1. I can see this developing into one of those Rap battles that take place in the US, but obviously in this case via the written word and across Continents!

    1. We could always do a dance off with his crew versus mine. I’ll go and find my boombox.

  2. When you say Boombox can I just check it’s not a box full of matchlock musket black powder!

    1. I had a look at making my own black powder a week or so ago. It’d be nice to get my musket operational again. Making your own black powder from an internet recipe sounds fun…and after all…what could possibly go wrong?

  5. LOL. Well played sir. Well played. 😁

It's a nice theme song, a very nice one indeed, but is it like the ACW theme song that has like 7 versus because I wrote one on each post of the ACW McPherson's Ridge build with a big flourish at the end? No it's not, and these are facts.

Actually, I have no idea how to respond. Do I concede now that the ECW is the best CW or do we engage in an EPIC battle of blogs and words in a never-ending escalation of fiery rhetoric that will split the blogosphere in two creating an online civil war as everyone has to pick one side or the other? In which case you would win because everyone likes you better than me. or at least they should. 😁 so i should just concede now. 😁

Besides, a rap battle often involves a lot of trash talk, and I don't know enough about the ECW to trash talk it.

    1. Tee hee. Stew. No need to concede at all. It was all jokes - as the youth in the UK would say. The ACW can be the best CW on your side of the pond and the ECW on this side - how about that? A rap battle that could split the blogosphere is a scary thing. I think we owe it to all mankind (and err woman kind) to keep that kind of power in check, for with great power comes great responsibility.

    2. oh I know it's all jokes. I like jokes. and though we have never talked in person I feel like we have a similar sense of humor and would get along fabulously. 😁
Which shines well on me and poorly on you. lol.

  6. Hey JBM, I am not sure that the King shooting the odd MP or two is such a bad thing πŸ˜‚
Might get the others to behave.

  9. Wicked. I believe the young people might call that a 'bangin' tune'.. If you don't look too closely, the 'boyz' might almost be wearing kepis?
Got me thinking about the ACW/ECW in pop music - the ECW gave us New Model Army, while the ACW could only come up with 'Billy Don't be a Hero' and 'Two Little Boys'.. (none of which will mean anything to our American friends! )

    1. Oh God you had to bring up « two little boys » - sung of course by the now notorious kiddie fiddler Rolfe (can you tell what it is yet?) Harris. I envy our American cousins ignorance.

  10. While I like New Model Army, well Vengeance anyway, The Band and The night they drove Old Dixie down clearly beats it , I will draw a discreet veil over Rolf Harris, well someone has too!
