Merry Christmas to one and all

Merry Christmas from Maison Broom to one and all.

The Current Mrs Broom loves Christmas and insists I take part in it even though I’ve got miniatures to paint!

May all the battles you face in 2025 be little wargaming ones.

  1. Merry Christmas, Mark! I am headed down to the game room for a painting session before the house springs to life.

  3. Marry Xmas to you and Mrs B:)! Part 1 of Xmas is over, now onto part 2 where our SEND son gets to play with all of his new games, which does get a bit tiring. Only 364 days to go to the next one;)!

  4. That looks very festive - excellent! I was almost tempted to put some tinsel around our Hoover, but decided not to. I drove to Berwick and back this afternoon, and I think I saw 4 vehicles total.

    1. Sorry you got stuck in such awful traffic old fruit, those roads sound like a nightmare :-) Tinsel on the hoover sounds exciting, ill pass the idea on to the missus, whose clearly missed a trick there. Thanks for the Yuletide tip.

  6. I must admit that the only festive thing I like are the pretty lights…..
And the booze… Of course 🤪
Next doors kids have gone from excitement trough joy , gratitude , laughter and full on tantrums…
So all is well with the Christmas world 🤣

    All the best. Aly

    1. Hi Aly. Normal Christmas world here too. Only an hour after eating an Olympic sized Xmas dinner I was mooching around in the kitchen after a turkey sandwich. Bonkers.

  12. Great looking decorations JBM and if Mrs JBM gives you minis early for Christmas I am afraid you have to do what she says 😂.
Very nice staircase, I have one too 🤣

    1. Everyone should have a staircase Ben - I stood for Parliament last year on that very issue. As far as the good lady wife I always do exactly as I’m told. It’s safer that way. Have a good one matey.

  13. Happy Hogswatch or what ever you chose to celebrate in the depths of Rural France.I hope you had a great day and were not on the Hogfather's naughty list! The Palais de Broom is looking spiffing too. I'm with the current Mrs Broom about this time of year it's dark and miserable so any excuse to get some fairy lights strung about the place and to eat and drink to excess is good.
